Salary: Up to £43,000 DOE

A well-established and growing international logistics business is seeking an experienced Export Sea Freight Operator to join its operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with sea freight export experience who enjoys managing shipments end-to-end, building strong customer relationships and working within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate export sea freight shipments from booking through to final destination.
• Liaise with shipping lines, transport providers, customers and overseas partners.
• Arrange bookings and manage vessel schedules.
• Prepare and process shipping instructions and export documentation.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively manage any delays or operational issues.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and within required deadlines.
• Handle customer enquiries and provide regular shipment updates.
• Verify supplier costs and assist with invoice queries.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
• Support the wider operations team to ensure exceptional service delivery.

About You

• Previous experience within export sea freight forwarding.
• Strong understanding of export shipping processes and documentation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Confident using freight systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
