Referrals Officer

We are currently seeking a Referrals Officer to join our dedicated team. This is a vital role, processing referrals for residents, maintaining accurate data and contributing to the smooth operation of our service. The postholder will come with or be able to develop a good understanding of risk assessment and management, enabling them to identify risk management concerns and share these with the Referral and Premises Manager at the earliest opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process referrals which have been allocated to the Approved Premises by the Central Referral Unit, ensuring all pre-arrival tasks are completed.
• Liaise with the Referral & Premises Manager regarding any concerns about the suitability of placements.
• Manage resident departures and complete end of placement assessments.
• Prepare quarterly data reports and gather statistical information on our services.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are met.
• Maintain accurate records using appropriate case management and local systems.
• Actively contribute to team meetings, practice development, training, and supervision.
• Work in line with all Elizabeth Fry Charity policies and procedures.

About You:

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confidence using IT systems, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Effective time management and organisational skills.
• A commitment to the values and mission of Elizabeth Fry Charity.

Desirable:

• Experience working with individuals facing a range of social or personal difficulties.
• Understanding of the criminal justice system, particularly the Probation Service.
• Awareness of the challenges faced by women in the criminal justice system.
