PR Manager

Are you a talented media professional looking to use your skills to make a real difference?

This charity is looking for a proactive and ambitious Media & PR Manager to lead media relations and help raise the profile of their cause across the UK. This is a newly created role with the opportunity to shape our media strategy, secure high-impact coverage, and position the charity at the centre of key health and social care debates.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver the charity s media and PR strategy
• Secure national, regional and trade media coverage
• Build strong relationships with journalists and broadcasters
• Identify reactive and proactive media opportunities
• Support senior leaders with media interviews and briefing materials
• Lead on crisis communications and reputation management
• Work closely with communications, policy and fundraising teams on campaigns and public affairs activity

The appointed candidate will have:

• Proven experience in a media, press office or PR role
• Strong media contacts and excellent story finding instincts
• Experience securing high-profile media coverage
• Exceptional writing and communication skills
• Confidence advising senior stakeholders
• Experience managing sensitive issues and reputational risk
