Job Requirements/Description

We're looking for an organised and creative Content Coordinator to join our Communications team and help bring IHP's work, impact and stories to life. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys creating engaging content, managing digital communications and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

IHP's vision is to see a world in which all suffering due to lack of healthcare is eradicated. Our Christian faith underpins all that we do. It motivates us to care for those in need, and give our best in all circumstances, as an expression of God's love. We serve the poor in health without regard for ethnic or religious background, focusing on where the need is greatest.

About the role

This is a varied and hands-on role where you'll help ensure our communications are engaging, consistent and effectively showcase the impact of our work.

Working closely with the Communications Manager and Senior Communications Officer, you'll play a key role in delivering day-to-day communications activity across IHP's channels.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Creating and scheduling engaging social media content

  • Helping to tell the stories of the people and communities we support

  • Managing and maintaining digital content and image libraries

  • Supporting communications campaigns and partnership activities

  • Maintaining content calendars, records and communications systems

  • Identifying opportunities to improve audience engagement and content effectiveness

About you

We're looking for someone who has experience creating content for social media and digital channels, understands how to create content that engages different audiences across social media platforms, and is comfortable using analytics or communications data to understand what is working. Experience managing digital content, images or other communications assets would also be valuable.

You will be:

Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
Confident and engaging in both written and verbal communication
Comfortable planning and scheduling regular content
Able to work independently and use initiative
Collaborative and approachable, with strong interpersonal skills
Confident maintaining accurate records and systems
Passionate about finding practical ways to improve processes and ways of working

Experience in a small charity, not-for-profit or other purpose-driven organisation would be desirable, as would an interest in using communications to demonstrate organisational impact.

For further details regarding responsibilities and person specification, please see the job description.

Why join IHP?

This is more than a communications role. Every piece of content you create will help raise awareness of our work, strengthen partnerships and support our mission to improve access to essential medicines worldwide.

You'll join a supportive, values-driven organisation where your contribution will have a direct impact on the lives of vulnerable communities across the globe.

Staff regularly spend time together praying for IHP's work and there is an occupational requirement for the post holder to have a personal commitment to the Christian faith.

Employee Benefits include:

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rate for part-time hours)
  • Health and wellbeing support through Unum
  • Life Insurance and Critical Illness Cover
  • Hybrid and flexible working options in a modern office near Chancery Lane Tube Station

IHP is an Equal Opportunities Employer and is committed to working and embedding diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our work, including recruitment and selection. We actively encourage applicants to inform us of any specific support or reasonable adjustments we can make in the recruitment process (eg for disability or neurodivergence) and will continue this conversation into employment, as appropriate.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Join a supportive and inclusive team where your skills are valued, your voice is heard, and you have the space to work independently and develop.
