We're working on behalf of a large, expanding, entrepreneurial reinsurance Broker with genuine global reach, currently backing a period of serious growth with serious capital. The team is already there.
The infrastructure is already there. What they're missing is the next entrepreneurial producer - someone who wants to build and grow their own treaty portfolio and who wants a financial reward system that actually reflects what they bring in, rather than what a committee decides to hand back at year end.
This group has a track record of turning performance into significant, tangible reward for the people who deliver it. Not vague promises about "upside potential" - a demonstrable history of rewarding entrepreneurial brokers properly, including through multiple successful shareholder events. Equity here is contractual, not discretionary. If you produce, you participate. It's as straightforward as that.

The role
This is a Senior Broker position within the treaty reinsurance team, based in London on a hybrid working basis. You'll be joining a business that has consciously built the platform first - capital, team, infrastructure - before going out to find the right person to drive growth on top of it.
That's a deliberate sequencing decision and it matters: you're not being asked to build from nothing and you're not inheriting someone else's legacy book either.
You're being given room to originate, develop and scale your own portfolio, with the backing of an established and supportive team around you.
Sector specialism is genuinely open.
What matters far more than which class of treaty business you've come from is how you operate - your ability to originate new relationships, convert them into sustained income and keep pace in a market that increasingly rewards deal velocity and volume of bespoke placements as much as raw complexity.
You'll have genuine autonomy over how you build your book, direct access to decision-makers rather than layers of internal bureaucracy and a remuneration structure designed specifically to reward Brokers.

What you'll need

• Strong non-life reinsurance broking experience, ideally with a treaty background (facultative exposure also of interest)
• A demonstrable track record of originating and growing business, not simply servicing an inherited book
• The credibility and relationships to bring elements of your portfolio with you
• An appetite for autonomy, pace and direct reward for direct results
• The drive to treat this as building a business within a business, not taking a job
