Salary: £36,650 - £45,500 - dependent on experience

STOP THE TRAFFIK is a global organisation working to prevent human trafficking and exploitation. We bring together data, intelligence, technology and partnerships to build a deeper understanding of how exploitation operates, where risks are emerging and who is most at risk. This knowledge informs our prevention campaigns and programmes, which use targeted, evidence-led approaches to reach people with relevant information and support before exploitation occurs.

You will use a combination of established intelligence methods and research approaches, drawing on open-source information, digital and social media environments, partner intelligence, existing datasets and other relevant sources. You will be expected to identify new sources of information and develop practical approaches to filling intelligence gaps.

A key part of the role will be connecting different types of evidence to build a more complete picture of exploitation. You will analyse patterns, behaviours, networks, recruitment methods and emerging risks, while being clear about the strength and limitations of the available evidence. You will work with colleagues across Data and Technology to explore opportunities to improve data collection, analysis, visualisation and the use of technology in intelligence work.

Summary of Responsibilities

We are looking for someone with substantive experience in intelligence, analysis, investigations, research or a related field. You do not need previous experience specifically in human trafficking or child exploitation, but you will need strong analytical judgement and the ability to translate intelligence into practical action.

Intelligence Management & Analysis

• Lead the intelligence cycle and identify priorities and gaps.
• Develop research and analytical approaches.
• Assess and synthesise information from multiple sources.
• Produce assessments, briefings, reports and trend analysis.
• Identify emerging risks and changes in exploitation.

Digital Research & OSINT

• Conduct OSINT and digital investigations across websites, social media and online communities.
• Use social listening and monitoring to identify trends, recruitment activity, networks and risks.
• Develop search strategies, keywords and monitoring frameworks.
• Identify new sources and methods to address intelligence gaps.

Data & Research

• Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, trends and anomalies.
• Work with Data & Technology on data collection, analysis, automation and visualisation.

Intelligence to Prevention

• Turn intelligence findings into practical prevention recommendations.
• Inform audience selection, campaign design, messaging, targeting and programme development.
• Use intelligence to support earlier intervention and reduce vulnerability.
• Identify new intelligence questions and gaps arising from prevention activity.

Partnerships & Intelligence Sharing

• Build relationships with internal teams, external partners and intelligence/research networks.
• Obtain, share and triangulate intelligence appropriately, respecting safeguarding, data protection and information governance.
• Brief colleagues and partners on findings, emerging risks and implications for action.
