Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering

We are seeking a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to deliver outstanding teaching across our Engineering provision at our client's campus in East London. This role involves teaching a variety of mechanical engineering disciplines, aimed at helping learners develop both the technical knowledge and practical skills required for progression into higher education, apprenticeships, and employment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in Mechanical Engineering across various programmes including T Levels, BTEC Level 2 and 3, and Higher National Diplomas.
- Cover key areas such as Mechanical Engineering Principles, Materials Science, Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Mathematics, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Manufacturing Processes, Engineering Design and Development, Manufacturing, Processing and Control, and Maintenance, Installation, and Repair.
- Engage and inspire students in the subject, helping them to achieve their potential.
- Prepare and deliver lessons that are both engaging and informative, ensuring a high level of student participation and success.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed).
- Experience in teaching Mechanical Engineering at various levels.
- Strong knowledge of the current curriculum and educational practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire learners.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
