Interim Finance Systems & Transformation Lead
3-Month Contract £400-£450 per day London Based Office-Based (4-5 Days per Week)
We are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Systems & Transformation Lead to support a growing, multi-site organisation through a period of systems implementation and operational change for ambtious charity.
This assignment requires a hands-on finance professional with strong leadership skills, proven finance systems experience, and the ability to support and develop teams through periods of change. The successful candidate will play a key role in embedding new finance systems, improving processes and controls, and ensuring the finance team is fully supported throughout the transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and embedding of new finance systems and associated processes.
- Support finance team members through system and process changes, ensuring successful adoption and effective ways of working.
- Review, redesign and strengthen financial processes, controls and reporting frameworks.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to the finance team during a period of transformation.
- Coach and develop team members to build confidence and capability within the new systems environment.
- Ensure smooth delivery of month-end close, reconciliations and management reporting.
- Support payroll, cashflow management, VAT and financial control processes.
- Assist with audit preparation, governance requirements and statutory reporting activities.
- Work closely with operational stakeholders to ensure finance processes support business growth and expansion.
- Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to increase efficiency across the finance function.
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong track record of supporting finance system implementations, upgrades or migrations.
- Demonstrable experience leading and developing finance teams through change.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and reporting requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Hands-on, pragmatic approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
- Experience within multi-site organisations would be advantageous.
