Long Term Futures are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in Wandsworth from October 2026.

The school is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work across KS3 and KS4, supporting students who require additional help to access the curriculum and make progress.

This is a long-term position, ideal for an experienced LSA, Teaching Assistant or graduate looking to develop their career within secondary education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students across KS3 and KS4
• Provide 1:1 and small-group learning support
• Work alongside classroom teachers to help students access lessons
• Support pupils with SEN and additional learning needs
• Deliver targeted literacy, numeracy and academic interventions
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and independence
• Adapt learning materials where required
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching and SEN staff

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or SEN TA is desirable
• Experience working with secondary-aged students
• Understanding of SEN and additional learning needs
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Confidence supporting pupils across different curriculum subjects
• A calm, patient and proactive approach
• Graduates considering teacher training or a career in education are encouraged to apply
