Governance Executive
London (with hybrid working)
The Role
Our client is looking for a Governance Executive to strengthen the delivery of effective governance across their organisation.
In this exciting role, you will be involved in supporting our client's Boards and Committees and championing best-practice governance.
Your primary focus will be the provision of high-quality support to our client's Boards and Committees. You will also be assisting the Governance Manager with meeting and election processes. You will also be handling questions raised by members. This will afford a great opportunity to see at first hand and learn about the workings of the organisation.
Other secondary responsibilities of the role may occasionally include assisting with policy development and implementation, and maintaining the central policy library and contracts log.
About You
To be considered as a Governance Executive, you will need to have a well-rounded knowledge of governance, which should include experience of:
- Working in a governance role, and the provision of high-quality support to boards and committees (e.g. planning agendas, running meetings, monitoring and progressing actions, and producing succinct and accurate minutes)
- Establishing good working relationships with senior stakeholders
- The ability to interpret and apply regulations, rules and procedural frameworks
- The ability to handle multiple meetings/projects with tight (and competing) deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent IT skills
