Property Claims Handler

As an experienced Property Claims Handler, you will join a small team of TPA Claims Handlers providing an exceptional customer service to policyholders, being responsible for the day-to-day full claims management of the lifecycle of the claims in a fast paced, telephone biased environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Be the first port of call for incoming Claims acting as the Insurer
• Triage claims calls for validation
• Register and log all new claims
• Proactively manage the full claims lifecycle
• Carry out Virtual desktop assessments and assist with building schedules of repair
• Negotiate settlements including Cash Settlement of claims within personal delegated authority limits and provide support to network contractors on building repairs
• Liaise with other departments and external clients
• Report any issues or complaints and delegate to the relevant point of contact
• Identify potentially fraudulent activity

About you:

• An experienced Claims Handler with a background in dealing with Domestic and Commercial Property Claims
• Have an understanding of the Insurance Industry
• A track record of working in a fast based, telephone-based claims environment
• Experienced in handling FNOL calls and being able to manage the full life cycle of the claims process
• Exceptional customer services skills and experience
• Motivated to progress and develop further
• Ideally Industry qualified i.e. Cert CII, working towards Diploma level or working towards (desirable)
• Knowledge of buildings and build pathology (desirable)
• Knowledge of scoping tools and scheduling experience using symbility/sore logic (desirable)
