PCB Assembler

Job Title: PCB AssemblerLocation: StevenageJob Type: Temp / ContractOverview: We have an urgent requirement, our client is seeking multiple skilled PCB Assemblers to their business. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling printed circuit boards to a high standard, working from technical drawings and specifications. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and experience working with both through-hole and surface mount components.Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) using through-hole and/or surface mount (SMT) techniques
• Work from engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Solder components including resistors, capacitors, ICs, and connectors
• Inspect and test assembled boards to ensure quality standards are met
• Identify and report faults or inconsistencies in components or documentation
• Rework and repair PCBs where required
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with health & safety standards

Requirements:

• Previous experience in PCB assembly
• Strong soldering skills (through-hole and/or SMT)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

• Experience working with older design boards
• Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g. IPC-A-610)
• Experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment
