Air Conditioning Engineer

AIR CONDITIONING & REFRIGERATION ENGINEER

Based in Chelmsford or surrounding areas

We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join our clients growing team and work across Essex and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently and wants to become part of a professional, established team.

The Role

You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of a wide range of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installation of split, multi-split and VRF/VRV air conditioning systems
• Servicing and planned preventative maintenance
• Reactive maintenance and breakdown fault-finding
• Commercial refrigeration servicing and repairs
• System commissioning and performance testing
• Refrigerant recovery, evacuation and charging
• Electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis
• Completing service sheets, F-Gas records and job reports
• Communicating professionally with customers and site contacts
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Working in accordance with current F-Gas, health & safety and industry regulations

About You

We are looking for an engineer with proven experience in air conditioning and/or refrigeration.

Essential:

• F-Gas Category 1 qualification
• Previous experience working as an AC/Refrigeration Engineer
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional approach and pride in workmanship

Desirable:

• Experience with VRF/VRV systems
• Commercial refrigeration experience
• City & Guilds / NVQ / equivalent HVAC&R qualification
• IPAF
• PASMA
• CSCS
• Electrical qualifications
• Experience with manufacturers such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, Toshiba & Panasonic
