A leading housing provider is seeking a skilled Carpenter Multi to join its responsive repairs and maintenance team. Working across social housing properties, the role will involve delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services while providing an excellent service to residents. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced tradesperson who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys a varied workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of reactive repairs and maintenance across occupied and void social housing properties.
• Complete carpentry and associated multi-trade works safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Take ownership of jobs from start to finish, achieving first-time fixes wherever possible.
• Work within agreed timescales, budgets and health and safety requirements.
• Identify when additional trades or specialist support is required.
• Accurately record completed works using electronic systems.
• Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to deliver an effective repairs service.
• Maintain professional and positive relationships with residents and clients.

Requirements

• NVQ or recognised qualification in Carpentry.
• Proven experience in a multi-trade or property maintenance environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Social housing experience is desirable.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Strong practical skills and excellent manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working at height, on uneven ground and within confined spaces where required.
• Reliable, self-motivated and committed to delivering high-quality customer service.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £40,660 per annum
• Company van and fuel card provided.
• 25 days' annual leave, increasing to 28 days after 5 years and 30 days after 10 years' service.

Additional Information

• Full-time, permanent position.
• Working hours: 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
• The role is site-based/mobile and requires a full UK driving licence.
• A basic DBS check is required.
