As a Warehouse Operative with Ocado Logistics, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operation moving and ensuring customers receive their orders on time. Based at our state-of-the-art fulfilment centre in Andover, you’ll join a team that works together to deliver a great customer experience every day.

We’re currently recruiting primarily into our Inbound and Despatch teams. These are active, physically demanding roles where you’ll be on your feet for most of your shift, regularly lifting, moving and handling products and totes.

The pace can be busy, but if you enjoy practical work, staying active and seeing what you’ve achieved at the end of a shift, it could be a great fit. You’ll certainly get your steps in, so you may not need that gym membership after all!

With a variety of shift options available, our core roster gives you your working pattern 6 to 13 weeks in advance, making it easier to plan life around work.

You’ll be required to work across both Ambient and Chilled areas, where temperatures can be as low as -5°C. Full training and support will be provided.

Available roles

We’re currently recruiting primarily into our Inbound and Despatch teams, although opportunities in other areas may also be available.

Inbound

Days: 06:00 to 17:00
Nights: 19:00 to 06:00

You’ll receive products from suppliers and transfer them into totes, making sure stock is available for our robotic systems and picking teams. This is another active role involving regular lifting, moving and handling products throughout your shift.

Despatch

Days: 07:00 to 17:00
Nights: 21:00 to 07:00

You’ll load customer totes into frames ready for delivery and sort and organise totes returning to site. This is a physically demanding role involving regular lifting, carrying and movement throughout your shift, while working at pace to help get customer orders out on time.

Pick

Days: 05:00 to 15:00
Nights: 19:00 to 05:00

You’ll pick and pack customer orders into shopping totes with care and accuracy. Working alongside our innovative technology and robotics, you’ll help make sure customers receive exactly what they’ve ordered.

Freezer

Days: 05:00 to 15:00
Nights: 19:00 to 05:00

You’ll pick and pack frozen products for customer orders within our freezer operation. Full protective clothing is provided, as you’ll be working in temperatures as low as -25°C. If you’re comfortable working in the cold, this could be a great fit for you.

Various day and night shifts are available and will be discussed with you during the application process.

What you’ll get in return
Pay
Hourly rate: £12.84
Night premium between 11:45pm and 5:45am: An additional £3.34 per hour
Freezer premium: An additional £0.80 per hour
Overtime: Paid at 1.25 times your basic hourly rate
