Blue Note London is seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join our opening kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, premium hospitality environment where exceptional food, teamwork and consistency are at the heart of everything we do.
About the Role
As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for managing your own section, ensuring dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standard while supporting the wider kitchen team to deliver exceptional service.
You'll take ownership of your station, maintain excellent organisation and hygiene standards, and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of an assigned kitchen section during preparation and service.
- Prepare and cook dishes consistently to Blue Note's recipes and specifications.
- Ensure all food leaving your section meets presentation and quality standards.
- Organise daily mise en place to ensure efficient service.
- Monitor stock levels within your section and communicate ordering requirements.
- Rotate stock correctly and minimise food waste.
- Ensure all food is stored, labelled and handled safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout your workstation.
- Support and mentor Commis Chefs and junior team members.
- Work closely with Sous Chefs and the Head Chef during service.
- Ensure all health & safety and food hygiene procedures are followed.
- Assist with menu development and seasonal specials where appropriate.
- Maintain equipment and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Support private dining events and special functions as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie.
- Excellent knife skills and cooking techniques.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients.
- Excellent teamwork and communication.
- Commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £14.00-£15.00 per hour + tronc (depending on experience)
