We are inviting applications for an outstanding Female PE Teacher or Head of PE to join our team on a temporary basis covering maternity leave from September 2026 until October 2026. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who is passionate about Physical Education and Sports Studies and is committed to achieving excellent outcomes for all students.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons to students of all abilities.
- Lead and manage the PE department effectively (if applying for Head of PE).
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Maintain and promote high standards of teaching and learning within the department.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate sports events and activities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure high achievement.
- Engage in continuous professional development to further enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Physical Education.
- Proven experience as a PE teacher or Head of PE, demonstrating outstanding classroom practice.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students and colleagues alike.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the school.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement.
