KPI Education is working in partnership with a well-respected and high-performing secondary school in Bromley to recruit an enthusiastic Teacher of History on a part-time basis (0.6 timetable). This exciting opportunity is open to both experienced teachers and ambitious ECTs looking to develop within a thriving Humanities faculty.

The Role

The successful candidate will join a large and successful Humanities faculty, teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 teaching depending on experience.

The school is seeking a teacher who can inspire curiosity, develop critical thinking and foster a genuine passion for History within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment with high expectations for all students

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and effective feedback

  • Differentiate lessons to support students of varying abilities and learning needs

  • Contribute to curriculum development and Humanities enrichment opportunities

  • Support the wider life of the school through pastoral responsibilities and departmental collaboration

  • Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school behaviour expectations

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing teacher training

  • Degree in History or a related subject

  • Passion for History and Humanities education

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • Commitment to raising student attainment and engagement

  • Ability to contribute positively to a collaborative department culture
