About Apolitical

We are the largest global network for governments, used by 500,000+ public servants in 160 countries to find and share best practices and gain skills on critical topics from AI to climate change to emerging technologies.
Why we're hiring
Apolitical's portfolio of products is growing quickly. As we scale, we're building a dedicated Delivery team to ensure our internal tools, processes, and content operations are as strong as the user experiences we create. This is a new team and the person who joins will be instrumental in shaping how it works.
We're hiring a Junior Delivery Manager to own content operations across our platforms, support the coordination of delivery workstreams and help build the systems and processes that will power Apolitical's products as we scale. This role reports into the Senior Programme Delivery Manager, and you will work cross-functionally in the organisation.
The role
This is a hands-on, varied operational role. You'll spend your time uploading and managing content across platforms like Contentful and HubSpot; coordinating translation and localisation workflows; supporting delivery across courses, academies and programmes; and contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives.
You'll be one of the few people working across Learning, Product and Partnerships, making you a connector and enabler across the organisation. AI is central to how we work. You'll be expected to use AI tools confidently in your day-to-day work and to help build the AI-powered processes and tooling that will define how Apolitical delivers at scale.
Success will come from being highly detail-oriented, comfortable with context-switching, proactive and someone who takes ownership.
Key responsibilities
1. Content Operations & Platform Management (30%)
Own day-to-day content management on Contentful, including uploading, editing, formatting, and publishing content with accuracy and consistency
Manage and respond to internal Contentful requests from teams across the organisation
Proofread and quality-check content for typos, formatting issues, tone and template adherence
Troubleshoot content and platform issues, escalating where needed
Maintain clean file structures, process documentation and internal knowledge management
2. Translation & Localisation Workflow (20%)
Support and eventually own the end-to-end translation process, coordinating between internal stakeholders, external agencies and our localisation platform (Crowdin)
Manage timelines, delivery expectations and handoffs across all translation stages
Ensure quality and consistency across language experiences
Advise on translation approach and sequencing as you develop expertise
3. Delivery Coordination & Project Support (25%)
Support the planning and tracking of timelines across courses, academies and translations
Coordinate with Learning Designers, Partnerships, Product, Engineering and our outsourced production partner to ensure smooth, on-time delivery
Take meeting notes, follow up on action items and help run delivery meetings
Manage tasks in Asana, keeping workstreams organised and stakeholders informed
Identify risks, blockers and inconsistencies and flag or resolve them proactively
4. AI, Automation & Process Improvement (15%)
We are an AI-native organisation. This section of the role is not a nice-to-have.
Use AI tools (including Claude) daily to support content QA, documentation, SOP creation and process improvement
Identify repetitive manual tasks and take the initiative to design and implement automations that eliminate them
Help build and maintain Claude Skills as we grow our AI muscle within the Delivery team
Contribute to cross-company AI process development, helping other teams work smarter
Stay curious: bring ideas for where AI could add value, test them and share what you learn
5. Internal Admin & Team Support (10%)
Provide reliable administrative support to the Senior Programme Delivery Manager, including scheduling, note-taking and action tracking
Help onboard future team members to content tooling and internal processes
Support learner-facing operations including cohort onboarding
About you
This is a great fit if you
Love creating detail, structure and tidy systems, from catching a rogue comma to untangling a messy file structure
Are energised by making tools and processes work better behind the scenes
Communicate clearly and proactively, keeping stakeholders in the loop without being chased
Are comfortable working across different functions, from engineers to educators
Thrive in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment where no two days are quite the same. Being able to context-switch is a must!
Are curious about AI and automation and want to develop genuine expertise. You should be actively using AI tools already or genuinely excited to start
Want to be part of something new;this is a growing function and there's real scope to shape it
Useful (but not required)
Highlight on your CV if you have
Experience with CMS tools like Contentful or CRMs like HubSpot
Experience proofreading or editing written content
A background in operations, coordination or support in a startup, learning or public sector environment
Familiarity with project management tools like Asana, Notion or Linear
Awareness of Agile ways of working, even if you haven't worked in a formal Agile team before or don't have Agile qualifications
This probably isn't the right role if you
Don't enjoy getting hands-on with tools. A big part of this role is working directly in platforms like Contentful and HubSpot
Are sceptical about AI or prefer not to use it at work. AI is core to how this team operates, not an optional extra
Are looking for a creative content design role. You'll refine and edit content, but not design it
Prefer client-facing work. This is primarily an internal operational role
Can't commit to three days per week in our London office
Don't enjoy diving into the details - accuracy and polish are central to the work
Don't meet every single expectation? Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. Apolitical is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
