Reed FE are seeking an ALS Administrator to provide effective allocation and administration of Additional Learning Support (ALS). This role involves coordinating specialist assessments, maintaining records, supporting funding administration, and organising EHCP reviews. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills and a background in education or similar settings.ALS Administrator
- Pay Rate: £16 per hour
- Location: Redhill
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Contract: Temporary ongoing
Day-to-day of the role of an ALS administrator:
- Book and track specialist support appointments, including access arrangements and speech & language therapy.
- Maintain ALS referral, filing, archiving, and electronic record systems.
- Liaise with exams teams regarding exam concessions and supporting evidence.
- Support EHCP reviews, high needs funding, and 19+ funding administration.
- Maintain databases, timetables, spreadsheets, and departmental records.
- Assist with enrolment events, open evenings, and student support activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- GCSE/Level 2 Maths and English (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to deal effectively with challenging situations and behavioural issues
- Knowledge of office administration processes and procedures.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Previous administration experience.
- Understanding of SEND and safeguarding
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for an new one
