  • Produce accurate monthly management accounts, review results for anomalies and explain key findings to the Managing Director and Board.
  • Maintain the integrity of Xero and the ledgers, including bank, petty cash, credit card, balance sheet, WIP, accrual, prepayment and fixed asset reconciliations.
  • Manage cash flow, prepare payment runs and authorise payments within agreed limits.
  • Generate monthly payroll, including management of commissions, deductions, pensions, staff loans and statutory year-end reporting.
  • Prepare and submit VAT and other HMRC returns accurately and on time.
  • Ensure invoicing, expenses and supplier payments are completed accurately and to agreed deadlines.
  • Work closely with the external accountant and provide clear schedules and supporting information for year-end and audit activity.
  • Review relevant supplier contracts and identify sensible opportunities to control cost and reduce waste.
  • Ensure the finance team follows company procedures and supports the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and relevant company policies.

Goals:

• Monthly management accounts completed by the 15th of the following month.
