About the Role
Nurture Education is delighted to partner with a welcoming secondary girls' school in the SW12 area to recruit a passionate, dedicated, and qualified Health and Social Care Teacher.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 (BTEC / Cambridge National / A-Level qualifications). You will foster an inspiring learning environment that encourages young women to pursue rewarding pathways in health, social care, nursing, childcare, and related higher education disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Health and Social Care in line with exam board specifications (e.g., Pearson BTEC / OCR).
- Student Progression: Track student attainment, mark coursework, and provide constructive feedback to help students achieve their potential.
- Classroom Management: Maintain high standards of behavior, building strong, positive relationships within an all-girls secondary learning environment.
- Departmental Contribution: Work closely with the Humanities and Vocational faculties to enrich the curriculum and contribute to school life.
Key Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (ECTs/NQTs with strong subject knowledge are encouraged to apply).
- Relevant degree in Health and Social Care, Nursing, Social Work, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care at secondary level (KS4/KS5).
- Strong knowledge of vocational assignment-based coursework and internal verification (IV) procedures.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Right to work in the UK.
