Head of Health and Safety

We are recruiting for a Head of Health and Safety to join a charitable social housing and support organisation, provider based in Kingston upon Thames supporting property services across the local region on a 9-month fixed term contract, with opportunity to be extended.

What's on offer:

• Salary: £65,000
• Contract: 9-month fixed term contract
• Working pattern: Full-time - 35 hours per week
• Working arrangement: Hybrid working 2 to 3 days in the office

As the Head of Health and Safety you will be:

• Managing the strategic and operational delivery of the H&S on behalf of the organisation
• Supporting the implementation of new compliance-management systems
• Developing and updating policies and procedures
• Working with the wider property management team to focus on the big 6 of compliance and building safety programmes as the key representative
• Leading a team providing 1-2-1s, training and support where needed

The successful Head of Health and Safety will:

• Demonstrate strong strategic and operational H&S leadership experience
• Experience across compliance
• Public sector experience in a leadership role
• NEBOSH General

This role would suit an experienced Health and Safety Manager or Compliance Manager looking to step into a Head of service role.
