Bridge Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and resilient SEN Teacher to join their supportive team on a cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist setting that is committed to inclusion and helping students overcome barriers to learning. The academy provides personalised education and tailored support for young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring every student can achieve both academically and personally.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students with additional learning needs.
- Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SEND professionals, and pastoral teams.
- Support students in achieving their academic, social, and emotional development goals.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning requirements.
- Monitor progress and contribute to student reviews and support plans.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with SEN pupils, alternative provision, SEMH, ASD, or additional learning needs.
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
- A compassionate and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Commitment to helping every student reach their potential.
