Interim Financial Controller

£400-£500 per day 3 Days Onsite Immediate Start 3-6 Months

We are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a purpose-led organisation on a short-term basis, providing leadership across financial control, statutory reporting, audit and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day financial control and operations function.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow and financial accounting processes.
• Oversee year-end accounts preparation and external audit delivery.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, HMRC and regulatory requirements.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls.
• Support and develop the finance team while partnering with stakeholders across the organisation.

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader.
• Strong technical accounting, audit and VAT knowledge.
• Experience managing finance teams within complex organisations.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft 365 skills.
• Charity, public sector or not-for-profit experience would be advantageous.
• Coming from Audit background would be beneficial

Contract Details

• Immediate start
• 3-6 month interim contract - could be extended
• £400-£500 per day
• 3 days per week onsite - south east london
• Flexible working available
