Maths Teacher (Temporary)

We are currently seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join our Further Education institution in Weybridge. This temporary position involves teaching GCSE Maths and resit courses to students aged 16-19. The role is set to start as soon as possible, making it ideal for dynamic educators ready to engage and inspire young adults.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive Maths lessons to students preparing for their GCSEs and those taking resit examinations.
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to meet the needs of students at different levels of ability.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through regular tests, assignments, and feedback sessions.
  • Provide additional support to students requiring extra help, ensuring they are prepared for their examinations.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the curriculum and share effective teaching practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Maths at GCSE level or similar.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and encourage students, fostering an environment conducive to learning.
  • Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
