We are currently seeking an Asbestos Operations Coordinator / Manager to join a reputable contractor based in Kent who specialise in asbestos removal across licenses and non-licenses projects across Kent, Surrey and London.
You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational delivery of asbestos removal and surveying projects. The role involves scheduling labour and works, preparing quotations for licensed and non-licensed asbestos projects, coordinating equipment and air testing requirements, liaising with clients, and preparing operational documentation including RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements). The coordinator ensures projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant legislation and company procedures.

You will need:
Essential
- Previous experience in an operations, scheduling, or coordination role.
- Knowledge of asbestos removal operations and industry procedures.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and client liaison abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and scheduling systems.
Desirable
- Experience within the asbestos, construction, or environmental services industry.
- Understanding of licensed and non-licensed asbestos works.
- Knowledge of HSE regulations and asbestos compliance requirements.
- Experience preparing RAMS documentation.
Key Responsibilities include:
Operations & Scheduling
- Schedule asbestos removal and associated works across multiple sites.
- Coordinate labour allocation and ensure appropriate staffing levels for upcoming projects.
- Monitor project timelines and update schedules as required.
- Maintain accurate operational calendars and job tracking systems.
Quoting & Estimating
- Prepare quotations for both licensed and non-licensed asbestos works.
- Review site information, survey reports, and client requirements to compile accurate cost estimates.
- Liaise with operational teams to ensure pricing reflects labour, equipment, waste disposal, and compliance requirements.
- Issue quotations and follow up with clients where necessary.
Equipment & Resource Coordination
- Book and coordinate equipment required for upcoming jobs, including PPE, decontamination units, and specialist asbestos removal equipment.
- Ensure equipment availability aligns with project schedules.
- Coordinate maintenance and servicing schedules where required.
Air Testing & Compliance
- Arrange air monitoring and four-stage clearance testing with UKAS-accredited analysts.
- Coordinate air test bookings in line with project schedules and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain records of certificates and compliance documentation.
Client Liaison
- Act as a key point of contact for clients regarding project scheduling, updates, and operational queries.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional communication.
- Respond promptly to client requests and coordinate solutions with operational teams.
Documentation & RAMS
- Prepare and issue RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) for asbestos-related works.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and issued prior to works commencing.
- Maintain records in accordance with company procedures and HSE regulations.
General Administration
- Maintain accurate job records, files, and operational databases.
- Support the operations team with general administrative duties.
- Assist with compliance audits and document control processes.
