Estate Surveyor
Based in London, hybrid working

Length: 3 months initially
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused surveyor with strong Landlord and Tenant expertise to take responsibility for a range of important property transactions, including rent reviews, lease renewals, lease re-gears and new lease agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for tenants across the Council's mixed commercial estate
- Lead on Landlord and Tenant matters, including:
- Rent reviews
- Lease renewals
- Lease re-gears and negotiations
- New lease agreements
- Work closely with legal advisers to progress lease documentation and complete transactions within agreed timescales
- Liaise with finance colleagues to ensure rental income, service charges and other payments are accurately recorded
- Monitor and report on key lease events, including rent reviews, renewals, negotiations and wider estate management activity
- Monitor property income and expenditure budgets, identifying financial risks and opportunities
Key Requirements:
- MRICS qualification as a Chartered Surveyor
- Experience working within a local authority or wider public sector property environment
- Proven experience negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals and new lease transactions
- Experience managing a mixed-use or mixed commercial property portfolio
