About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Avaloq Developer to join a major banking technology programme in London. This is a permanent opportunity for a hands-on technical professional with strong experience in Avaloq development, configuration, scripting, customization, and system integration.

You will work on large-scale banking technology initiatives, collaborating with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, QA teams, and other technology stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and enhance solutions using the Avaloq Banking Suite.
• Perform hands-on Avaloq configuration, scripting, development, and customization.
• Develop and maintain integrations and interfaces between Avaloq and external banking systems.
• Analyse functional and technical requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate across the full development lifecycle, including SIT, UAT, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, QA, and other technology teams.
• Prepare technical documentation and support release and deployment activities.
• Follow development standards, security requirements, and banking technology best practices.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of overall IT experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Avaloq development.
• Solid experience with the Avaloq Banking Suite.
• Strong knowledge of Avaloq scripting, configuration, and customization.
• Experience delivering Avaloq implementation, enhancement, migration, or transformation projects.
• Good SQL and database knowledge.
• Experience developing system integrations and interfaces.
• Strong understanding of banking and financial services.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Desirable Experience

• Experience within major UK or European banking environments.
• Exposure to Payments, Deposits, Lending, Securities, or Wealth Management.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Production support and performance optimization experience.
• Experience contributing to large-scale banking transformation programmes.

What We're Looking For

This role is particularly suited to candidates with strong, hands-on Avaloq development experience.

Candidates with only functional Avaloq exposure, without substantial development, scripting, configuration, or customization experience, will not be suitable for this position.
