Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
Diagnose faults using schematics and mechanical knowledge
Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques
Assemble new equipment or machinery as required
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move or install equipment
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
Assist with troubleshooting complex mechanical issues to minimise downtime
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs
Skills
Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings
Extensive mechanical knowledge across various types of machinery and equipment
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Experience in assembly, disassembly, and repair of mechanical systems
Knowledge of maintenance procedures and best practices for equipment longevity
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Good customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
