About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education tailored to the individual needs of pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and other complex needs. You will:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum and pre-curriculum frameworks.
Create and monitor Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) with appropriately differentiated targets.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, psychologists, social workers, and families.
Lead your class team, ensuring effective deployment of resources and a positive, safe learning environment.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing in line with school policies.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil reports and school development planning.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who:
Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
Has experience working with children or young people with complex needs, including PMLD.
Demonstrates strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and strategies for personalising learning.
Is committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
Can lead and inspire a class team with empathy, clarity, and purpose.
Values collaboration and communication with families and external professionals.
