The Role

As Transport Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the transport department, ensuring efficient vehicle utilisation, driver coordination, and exceptional customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating daily transport schedules and vehicle allocations
• Acting as the main point of contact for drivers throughout the working day
• Monitoring deliveries and ensuring routes run efficiently
• Managing transport administration and maintaining accurate records
• Ensuring compliance with transport legislation, driver hours, and company procedures
• Coordinating vehicle servicing, maintenance, inspections, and MOT schedules
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure service levels are met
• Resolving transport-related issues quickly and effectively
• Supporting operational planning and providing cover arrangements when required
• Producing reports and assisting with the continuous improvement of transport processes

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within transport, logistics, fleet, or planning operations
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
• Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
• Good understanding of transport compliance and regulations
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• CPC qualification beneficial but not essential
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle essential due to the location
