Location: Dibden Park School, Southampton SO45 5TD
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: November 2026

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring teacher to join our specialist education team, supporting students with additional learning needs, including autism and social, emotional and behavioural needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver engaging science lessons in a nurturing environment where smaller class sizes allow you to focus on individual progress and achievement.

As our Science Teacher, you will create a positive, engaging and supportive learning experience that helps students develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team, you will adapt teaching to meet individual needs and help every student reach their full potential.

What You'll Be Doing

Deliver engaging Science lessons to individuals and small groups, tailored to students' needs.
Monitor, assess and report on student progress, supporting positive outcomes.
Develop and implement personalised learning, education and behaviour plans.
Create a safe, structured and stimulating learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, families and multi-disciplinary teams to support student success.
Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and safeguarding while maintaining accurate records and educational standards.

What We're Looking For

Teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) required.
Experience planning and delivering lessons within an education setting.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
The ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
Excellent organisational and IT skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Driving licence required

Experience working with students with autism, SEND or challenging behaviour would be advantageous, although not essential.
