Senior Developer

Think Specialist Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading organisation based within the Watford area to recruit a Senior Developer to join their expanding team.
This is a well established company that are looking to grow their internal IT team, with a view of further developing their brilliant customer portal.
This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to influence the organisation's technology direction. This person will be joining a team of 3, and be part of a team that will further grow due to the internal IT team growth and development of their customer portal.

Salary - up to £75,000 depending on experience plus great benefits
Hybrid working with 3 days in and 2 days from home

Some of the duties will include:

• Take ownership of the development and maintenance of the internal customer portal
• Develop and enhance C#/.NET applications and RESTful APIs
• Build and maintain integrations with databases and business systems
• Develop robust, secure and maintainable solutions
• Work across both modern and legacy codebases
• Contribute to the modernisation of the technology estate
• Develop new internal tools and applications using Microsoft technologies
• Work with Azure, Power Platform and emerging AI technologies
• Participate in code reviews, testing and agile delivery
• Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues
• Troubleshoot application and integration issues
• Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver solutions

The suitable candidate:

• 5+ years' professional software development experience
• Strong C# and .NET experience, including .NET Framework
• Experience developing RESTful APIs using ASP.NET
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Linux-hosted applications
• Comfortable working with both modern and legacy systems
• Experience with Git/GitHub and agile development
• Able to work independently and take ownership from requirement through to delivery
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• A collaborative approach and willingness to share technical knowledge
• Interest in Power Platform and AI technologies
