At The Baked Bean Charity, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive. Every day, we support adults and young people with learning disabilities through creative, educational and wellbeing services that build confidence, develop independence and create genuine opportunities for people to reach their full potential.
We're looking for an exceptional organiser, problem solver and people person to join us as our Deputy Service Lead.
This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of our organisation. Working closely with our Service Lead and Operations Manager, you'll help ensure our services run smoothly, our teams are supported, and every student receives an outstanding experience from their very first enquiry through to becoming part of our community.
No two days are the same. One day you might be welcoming a new student and supporting their transition into services, the next you'll be leading our transport team, improving an internal process, coordinating recruitment, or helping implement new systems that make life easier for colleagues and better for the people we support.
What you'll be doing
You'll take ownership of several key areas that keep our charity running successfully, including:
About you

You'll be someone who:
Why join us?
This is an opportunity to be part of a charity that is ambitious, creative and constantly evolving. You'll have the chance to shape the way our services operate, providing a supportive backbone to our everyday operations, and working alongside a passionate team who genuinely care about making a difference.
If you're looking for a role where you'll have real responsibility, plenty of variety and the opportunity to see the impact of your work every day, we'd love to hear from you.
Alongside a rewarding role, we provide a range of benefits to support your wellbeing and work-life balance. These include enhanced annual leave, access to an Employee Assistance Programme, and a staff benefits platform with discounts on shopping and everyday costs. We also embrace a casual dress code to help you feel comfortable at work.
Ready to apply?
If you're exceptionally organised, enjoy working with people, and improving processes we'd love to hear more about how you could play a key role in changing people's lives with a role at the Baked Bean Charity.
Please note we will review all applications as they are received, and begin contacting candidates for interview throughout that process. Interviews will however be scheduled to take place during the week commencing the 24th August 2026.
Preferred start date: September 2026.
