Activity Coordinator - Join Our Caring Team

As an Activity Coordinator, you will:

  • Plan, organise, and deliver a varied programme of activities, events, and outings tailored to the interests and abilities of our residents.
  • Encourage resident participation, taking time to get to know individuals and understand what brings them joy and fulfilment.
  • Work closely with care staff and family members to ensure activities are inclusive and person-centred.
  • Promote wellbeing, social interaction, and a sense of community within the home.
  • Support residents to maintain hobbies, try new things, and celebrate special occasions.
  • Help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels involved and respected.
  • Keep accurate records of activities and resident involvement in line with company policies.
  • Assist with decorating communal areas and organising seasonal events.

Essential Skills

  • Right to work in the UK (we are not offering sponsorship opportunities).
  • Previous experience in a similar activities, care, or support role is desirable but not essential.
  • Creative and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for supporting older people.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, able to plan and deliver a varied activities programme.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly, approachable manner.
  • Ability to encourage, motivate, and engage individuals with diverse needs and interests.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Respectful, compassionate, and sensitive to the needs and preferences of residents.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training and develop new skills.
