Deputy Head of Income Strategy and Growth

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead the creation of a new income-focused function within our organisation. As ourDeputy Head of Income Strategy and Growth you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the organisation's financial sustainability and supporting our long-term mission. Working alongside senior leaders, you will develop and deliver a comprehensive income strategy that brings together fundraising, partnerships, grants, corporate partnerships, and other income-generating opportunities.

You will lead a team through a period of transformation, creating a clear vision, developing capability, and embedding a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key information:

Hours: 37 hours per week (possibility of condensed hours)

Work pattern: Monday to Friday 9 to 5pm (flexible and hybrid working)

Salary: £42,630.00 - £46,182.50 (pro rata for part time)

Location: Suffolk (Ipswich, Felixstowe, Saxmundham or Bury St Edmunds)

Transport: Driving licence and own transport is essential as travel will be required between sitesand around Suffolk

Contract type: Permanent

• Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• A passion for the nonprofit sector and a commitment to helping people and communities thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the redesign, development, and growth of a newly structured income generation team.
• Develop and implement an ambitious income strategy aligned with the organisation's mission and strategic priorities.
• Identify and develop sustainable income opportunities across fundraising, grants, trusts, corporate partnerships, commissioned services, and other revenue streams.
• Build strong relationships with donors, funders, partners, stakeholders, and supporters.
• Use data, market insight, and sector intelligence to influence organisational decision-making.
• Drive innovation and explore new approaches to income generation and supporter engagement.
• Foster a high-performance culture that enables colleagues to thrive and develop.
• Monitor and report on income performance, ensuring resources are used effectively to maximise social impact.
