This is a rewarding and varied role where you'll combine meaningful work with families alongside coordinating essential SEND administration to ensure every pupil receives the support they need.

You'll be the reassuring voice families can rely on, building trusting relationships, offering guidance and ensuring they feel heard, valued and involved in their child's journey. Alongside this, you'll play a key role in managing EHCPs and Annual Reviews, working closely with colleagues, local authorities and external professionals to help secure the very best outcomes for our pupils.

If you're someone who thrives on building relationships, enjoys working collaboratively and takes pride in keeping important processes running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and their families, becoming a welcoming and approachable point of contact.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintain regular communication between home and school, ensuring families feel informed and involved.
  • Work alongside teachers, pastoral staff and external agencies to provide coordinated support that improves outcomes for pupils.
  • Coordinate the administration of EHCPs and Annual Reviews, ensuring statutory deadlines are met accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare, gather and maintain confidential documentation, reports and pupil records to a consistently high standard.
  • Liaise confidently with local authorities, social workers and multi-agency professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Support safeguarding processes, handle sensitive information professionally and contribute to pupil support planning.
  • Help create a welcoming, nurturing and inclusive school environment where every child and family feels valued.

What you will bring

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with families, children or vulnerable young people in an education, health or care setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet important deadlines.
  • Confidence working with confidential information and maintaining accurate records.
  • The ability to build positive, professional relationships with families, colleagues and external agencies.
  • A proactive, resilient and flexible approach, with a genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
