The Supply Register is proud to be working in partnership with STEP Academy Trust. We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach to join Gonville Academy on a full-time basis for the academic year, starting in September 2026. This role would also include PPA cover within the classroom setting where required.

This is an exciting opportunity for passionate individuals who are committed to promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles. The successful candidates will deliver engaging sports sessions, support PE lessons, and encourage pupils to develop confidence, resilience, and a lifelong enjoyment of sport.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging PE lessons, sports coaching sessions, and extracurricular activities.
• Support pupils' physical, social, and emotional development while promoting positive behaviour and inclusion.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to provide a safe, enjoyable, and inspiring sporting environment.
• Provide PPA cover (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Sports Coach, PE Coach, or in a similar role working with primary-aged children.
• A recognised sports coaching or physical education qualification is desirable.
• Strong communication, behaviour management, and organisational skills.
• A positive, energetic, and flexible approach with a passion for inspiring young people through sport.
• Experience within the classroom.
