We are working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Newham that is looking for a motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who is passionate about education and enjoys working with young people. You will work alongside experienced teachers, supporting students both in and outside of the classroom.

The Role

• Supporting teachers with lessons and classroom activities
• Working with students individually and in small groups
• Providing additional support to students who may need extra help with their learning
• Helping to create a positive and engaging classroom environment
• Assisting with classroom preparation and resources
• Supporting students with their academic and personal development
• Building positive relationships with students and staff

The Ideal Candidate

• A recent graduate
• Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential
• Passionate about education and supporting young people
• Confident, enthusiastic and approachable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, resilient and able to work as part of a team
• Considering a future career in teaching or education
