Support Worker - Christchurch House

Salary: £17,200.98 per annum (FTE £ 28,668.31per annum)Hours: 24 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 3 days per week - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

As a Support Worker in our Young People's Supported Housing Service, you'll support young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to develop the confidence, skills and independence needed to move forward in life.

Using a strengths-based approach, you'll build trusting relationships, create outcome-focused support plans and help young people access education, training, employment, health services and opportunities within their local community. You'll be a strong advocate, ensuring each customer's voice is heard and their aspirations remain at the centre of the support they receive.

You'll work closely with colleagues, external agencies and community partners to promote wellbeing, manage risk, safeguard vulnerable young people and create positive outcomes.

About Christchurch House

Christchurch House is conveniently located close to Ipswich town centre, offering easy access to shops, cafés, leisure facilities and excellent public transport links. Situated directly opposite the beautiful Christchurch Park, it provides a peaceful green space perfect for a relaxing walk during your lunch break.

The service provides temporary supported accommodation for young people, each supported through a personalised, outcome based plan.

Person Specification

  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 9-4 / A-C or equivalent)
  • A full driving licence is desirable
