Animal Care Lecturer

REED FE are seeking a dedicated Animal Management Lecturer to join a team of lecturers in a post 16 education establishment. This role involves teaching Level 1-3 Animal Management courses.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal management, animal care, zoology, veterinary science, or a related sector, and be passionate about delivering high-quality education.

• Annual Salary: £29,373 - £41,718
• Location: Greater London, Surrey
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (Temporary opportunities available from mid-August)

Day-to-day of the role of an Animal Management Lecturer

• Deliver engaging and informative lectures and practical sessions in Animal Management across Level 1-3 courses.
• Develop and update course materials to ensure they meet the latest industry standards and educational guidelines.
• Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and practical evaluations.
• Provide academic and pastoral support to students to enhance their learning experience.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching methods and curriculum design.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the overall development of the programme.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the Animal Management Lecturer role:

• Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
• FE teaching experience.
• Strong background in animal management, animal care, zoology, veterinary science, or a related sector.
• GCSE Maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent.
• Experience with T Level courses is desirable.
• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification is also desirable.
