The Role

Oakmoor School is seeking a qualified English Teacher to join their team on a long-term supply basis from September.

This position has become available due to changes in the school's approved agency partnerships, creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate English specialist to make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Teach approximately 16 lessons per fortnight, predominantly at KS3 level, with two KS4 classes.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Complete marking and feedback to support student progress.
• Undertake allocated PPA time effectively.
• Provide general cover support when required.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour management and classroom practice.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Specialises in English Language and/or English Literature.
• Has experience teaching within UK secondary schools.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management skills.
• Is adaptable, reliable and able to integrate quickly into a new school environment.
• Has a passion for helping students achieve their full potential.
