1:1 Teaching Assistant (KS4 & KS5)

Full-Time Term Time Only Immediate Start Available

We are looking for a dedicated and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to a student within a specialist educational setting for Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 learners. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in a young person's educational journey and future outcomes.

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with an individual student, supporting them both academically and emotionally to help them engage positively with their education.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day
  • Encouraging engagement, participation, and achievement in lessons
  • Supporting behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with students
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies
  • Helping students develop independence, resilience, and confidence

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Patient, empathetic, and highly resilient
  • Confident working with young people who may have additional needs or behavioural challenges
  • A strong communicator with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Calm under pressure and able to adapt to changing situations
  • Passionate about helping students reach their full potential

Experience within education, SEND, SEMH, youth work, mentoring, care, or support work is desirable, but a positive attitude and commitment to making a difference are equally important.
