Domiciliary Carer

At Citywide care agency we are looking for someone who can provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, privacy, and overall wellbeing. Note: This is a door to door job, so please only apply if you are willing to do this.

Key responsibilities and duties will include:

• Assist clients with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support clients with mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment (where trained).
• Prompt, assist, or administer medication in line with care plans and company policies.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding where required.
• Encourage and monitor adequate nutrition and hydration.
• Carry out light household duties, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and changing bed linen.
• Support clients with shopping, collecting prescriptions, and attending appointments.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce social isolation.
• Encourage independence and participation in daily living activities.
• Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health to the appropriate person.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation.
• Follow safeguarding procedures to protect vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect clients' privacy and dignity.
• Attend training sessions and team meetings as required.
• Be able to work during nights, if needed.

Essential:

• Candidate must live in London Borough of Ealing and has good knowledge of the area
• Caring, compassionate, and patient nature
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Willingness to undertake DBS checks

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a care setting
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
