Design Technology Supply Teacher - North London

Hays Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teachers to work across a range of secondary schools in North London. Due to increasing demand from our partner schools, we are looking for qualified DT specialists who are available for daily supply, short-term cover and long-term teaching assignments.

We welcome applications from teachers with experience in any DT specialism, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, Food Technology and Construction.

Your new role
As a Supply DT Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 in some schools.
• Inspire creativity, innovation and practical problem-solving skills.
• Maintain excellent classroom and workshop management.
• Adapt quickly to different school environments and departmental structures.
• Ensure a safe and productive learning environment in practical teaching spaces.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology within UK secondary schools.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent subject knowledge in one or more DT disciplines.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Hays.
