TPP Recruitment is supporting a respected professional membership organisation to recruit a Manager, Physics Workforce. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established and growing team at a pivotal stage in its development. You will play a crucial role in building the evidence base that informs workforce planning, skills development and policy influence across the UK and Ireland.
This position would suit someone with a strong understanding of the skills, workforce and higher education landscape, who enjoys combining research, stakeholder engagement and data analysis to drive meaningful impact.
Salary: £50,000 - £52,000 per annum, depending on experience
Employment type: Permanent
Working arrangements: Hybrid - approximately once per month office based (London)
Working pattern: Full-time, 35 hours per week

About the Role
As the Manager, Physics Workforce, you will support the development of a robust evidence base around workforce needs, skills shortages and future talent requirements. You will use research, stakeholder intelligence and data analysis to identify key challenges and opportunities, translating complex information into compelling insights that influence decision-makers.
You will be joining a team that was established at the end of 2025 and is continuing to evolve. This creates an excellent opportunity to contribute to team culture, processes and ways of working whilst taking ownership of strategically important projects.
The role includes line management responsibility for a Project Officer and offers the chance to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including policymakers, employers, education providers and sector leaders.
