We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to act as a trusted deputy to the Programme Lead for one of our London based clients.

This is a high-profile opportunity to step into a complex and politically sensitive environment, where you will play a critical role in recovering a disrupted technology migration programme while also providing broader oversight across product delivery. Alongside delivery accountability, you will help drive improvements in capability, structure, and overall delivery maturity.

You will be expected to operate with a top-down mindset, bring clarity in ambiguous situations, and lead through influence, credibility, and strategic insight, rather than relying solely on process.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Own end-to-end delivery oversight of the Tech Migration workstream.
• Take ownership of budget, plan, risks & issues, dependencies, and sequencing.
• Translate complex technical delivery into clear, outcome-focused communication.
• Act as a senior escalation and decision-making point.
• Establish pragmatic governance and reporting.
• Drive prioritisation across product initiatives.
• Lead stakeholder engagement across operations, technology, and vendors.
• Partner closely with the Programme Lead as a trusted advisor/deputy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Operates at a Senior Project Manager level with proven ability to turn around complex delivery environments.
• Strong top-down thinker, focusing on outcomes over activities.
• Demonstrated forward planning & risk anticipation capability.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills across difficult environments.
• High emotional intelligence, able to adapt style to audience.
• Comfortable working in VUCA environments (high ambiguity, constant change).
• Track record of uplifting teams, not just delivering personally.

Technical / Environment Context (Desirable, not essential):

• Experience in cloud migration/transformation programmes.
• Exposure to Azure/cloud infrastructure, enterprise applications, and data platforms.
• Ability to engage credibly with engineers and experience working with vendors such as TCS and Accenture.
