Salary: MPS1 - UPS3 Fringe £34,398 - £52,490 (TLR Available dependent on experience)

As a result of our recent and continuing school expansion, we are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational Science Teacher to join our growing team.

We believe that Science is a vital part of the curriculum, equipping pupils with the curiosity, analytical skills and scientific understanding needed to thrive in the modern world. Our aim is to provide an outstanding holistic education that enables young people to develop the knowledge, confidence and resilience necessary to fulfil their potential and make a valuable contribution to society. We deliver a challenging and engaging Science curriculum across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, from foundational concepts at Key Stage 3 through to successful and popular A Level courses at Key Stage 5.

Our Science department is well resourced and committed to delivering practical, engaging and ambitious lessons that inspire a love of learning. Pupils are encouraged to think critically, investigate scientifically and apply their knowledge to real-world contexts. At Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, students achieve excellent outcomes and many go on to study STEM-related subjects at university and beyond.

You must be passionate about teaching and you will be expected to collaborate with colleagues in the department in planning and delivering lessons across a range of ages and abilities. You must be committed to delivering high quality teaching and learning, while securing outstanding progress for all pupils. We will consider applications from newly qualified and experienced teachers.

The right candidate for us will be someone who can demonstrate: -

• Experience and knowledge of teaching Science within a secondary school (ages 11-18);

• Excellent curriculum knowledge and how to sequence the skills and knowledge needed;

• A record of / commitment to outstanding teaching and securing high levels of pupil progress;

• Experience of or a commitment to wider school responsibilities;

• Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills;

• Qualified Teacher Status;

• An appreciation and an understanding of a school at the heart of the community.
