The Role
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic ALS Team Leader to join our team and help drive inclusive practice across our educational setting. This is a key role supporting learners with a range of additional needs and ensuring that every learner has access to the support they need to thrive.
Working under the direction of the SENCo, you will be responsible for coordinating learning support provision, ensuring effective communication between staff, learners, families and external partners. You will also act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing a responsive and professional interface for all support-related matters.
In addition, you will serve as a line manager, coach and mentor for Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), offering training, guidance, and day-to-day support to build their confidence and capacity in delivering high-quality assistance.
This role is Term Time Only.
The ideal candidate will:
• Support the SENCo in implementing and monitoring inclusive support strategies.
• Act as the primary contact for staff, families, and external professionals.
• Mentor and coach LSAs to promote professional growth and effective practice.
• Coordinate and evaluate support interventions to ensure positive outcomes.
• Promote a culture of inclusion and high expectations for all learners.
Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults
In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education All employment offers are subject employment checks. These include (some of which are dependent on the role and the individual): Enhanced DBS including Children's Barred List check, DfE teaching/management Barred List check, on-line searches, overseas criminal record check, evidence of identity and Right to Work in the UK, satisfactory references, confirmation of medical fitness, evidence of relevant qualifications and a check of previous employment history.
